Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood, California on Saturday, October 16th hosted a screening for Church the movie, a musical. This was a red carpet event for the community that provided a fundraising opportunity for the Christian Education ministries at Faithful Central Bible Church.

Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer and Pastor La Roya Jordan hosted the red carpet event that included many of the stars of the movie, which allow the families who purchase tickets to this event, to feel what it is like on the red carpet, with cameras and the lights from the Long Beach Community College, media department, along with radio host Tyree Love, and photography by photojournalist Ron Talley.

“Church”, an uplifting faith-based musical set at a fictional church on Sunday services, at the “Glorious New Life Greater Emmanuel Faith Tabernacle Church of The Living God In Christ Up on the Hill”. This independent film produced by Tommy Ross, managing partner of Gospel Jam, LLC, stars Darius McCrary, Joseph C. Phillips, Sam Sarpong and also featuring; Art Evans as Pastor Jones, along with gospel greats Daryl Coley, Blanche McAllister Dykes and Nicoe Potts.

The well received movie provided a night out at the movies for many of the families that attended. Who also enjoyed the up close and personal contact with the performers of the movie “Church”, along with the message of overcoming obstacles provided by the film, a message not lost with many churches today that are having financial problems, along with their patrons, this film also spotlights new ways of fundraising for different ministries.

The times we're living in have inspired independent producers of films to go directly to the consumer by way of the church, and other organizations, which will provide them both new sources of revenue in these economically hard times.
